This collection of files lists the membership of the 100th Congress (as of spring '87) by committee and subcommittee in print-merge (tab-delimited tables) format, for use in lobbying Congress.
"100th HRxC /text" and "100th SxC /text" list each committee, with its subcommittees; whichever committee is needed can be taken out directly.
Three characters are used to indicate membership status within committees and subcommittees; the Chairman has a "C", the Minority leader has an "M", and regular members are indicated by "X".
"H Committees" and "S Committees" list the full names of all the committees and subcommittees; the tables use abbreviations. "100th HR /text" and "100th S /text" list the entire membership of the houses in one large table, with all the committees and subcommittees. They will probably be most useful as input to spreadsheet programs for customization.
